Luggala to Lough Dan

The weather forecast was for fine weather so we hadn't expected such low cloud on Luggala or extremely wet ground on the circuit around Lough Dan.  After a while we stopped bothering about sidestepping the pools of water and ended up just sloshing through and in an odd sort of way that seemed to add to the fun!

Scout Liffey Descent

What a difference a week makes!

Last Sunday, when we did our Lucan to Strawberry Hall trip, the water level in the Liffey was at an all time low.  Earlier today, after two days of torrential rain, the Liffey was quite a different animal and presented quite a challenge to the competitors in this year's Scout Liffey Descent.
