After 2 false starts in December due to bad weather we finally got underway last Saturday on the second leg of our project to walk the length of the Wicklow Way. Starting at Curtlestown Wood, through Crone Wood, around Djouce, Lough Tay and overnighting at Lough Dan and then on to Laragh.
The walk was organised by Emma Strutt, Sarah Fagan and Niamh Buckley as part of their Chief Scout's Award. In all 24 scouts took part - if some of us weren't quite sure just how far 30 Km was, we know now and have sore feet and tired legs to prove it!!Well done all round.
Roll on the next stage - Glendalough and Glenmalure.
