Wicklow Way (Shillelagh to Clonegal)

It only took us three and a half years.... but we got there in the end!!

In October 2007 we set out from Marlay Park in Rathfarnham on the 1st stage of our plan to walk the entire Wicklow Way thinking we'd have the whole thing done within 6 months.

Anyway, today, in glorious sunshine, we managed to complete our 7th and final stage into Clonegal in Co Carlow.  Sore feet all around but well worth it.

Croaghanmoira Circuit

Its been a while since we were out hill walking having had to postpone planned walks on a number of occasions due bad weather or forecasts of bad weather.

Anyway, today provided an excellent opportunity to get going again and we struck out for deepest darkest Wicklow to walk the Croaghanmoira Circuit.

Weather was perfect, if a little breezy,  The hike itself was a new route for us and we were rewarded with wonderful views from the top.
